We do not accept insurance at our offices. We do, however, accept flex spending or health savings cards.

Absolutely, this is the best diet for diabetic patients! Almost all Type II Diabetic patients can eliminate insulin and oral diabetic medications if following the diet correctly.  Usually within as little as 4 days, our patients will have normal blood sugars and be off all diabetic medications!  Fasting blood sugars usually run between 90 and 120 mg/dl.

Not unless you are overeating.  We will repeat the body composition testing when you are finished and tell you exactly how many calories and carbs you can eat per day so that you will not gain weight. If you do not overeat, you will not gain fat.  This number of calories will vary from person to person so make sure you come in for that final visit so we can repeat the BIA testing and go over the results with you.

That’s a fair question, and you should ask it of anyone before letting them prescribe you anything. We prescribe FDA-approved medications sourced through licensed pharmacies, and we will explain exactly what you’re taking, where it comes from, and why it’s the right choice for your body. If we can’t explain a medication’s origin to your satisfaction, we won’t put you on it. In the case of Semaglutide (GLP-1), what we dispense is the compounded version which is not the same product as Wegovy or Ozempic. Those branded medications are FDA-approved. Compounded Semaglutided is not FDA-approved. Your medication comes from a licensed compounding pharmacy, and every dose you take is one we set. Use of compounded medications involves potential risks which we discuss with every patient.

Dr. Kevin Sattele, a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who has practiced in Florence since 1998 and has treated over 18,000 patients, along with Becky Harlan, our nurse practitioner, who has lived in this community for more than forty years. When we say your care is supervised, we mean people who know your name and your chart, not a remote call center.

We go through your history, do an exam, and discuss your goals. You tell us, what you’ve tried, what hasn’t worked, and what’s going on with your health. All our programs are month-to-month and based on a 4-week time frame. You can stop any time you like and there is no contract. When you are finished losing weight, we have several maintenance program options for you to choose from.

In addition to adding volume to your lips, these dermal fillers can also fill in smile lines and add volume to your cheeks which is sometimes lost with weight loss. We also offer Latisse® which is an FDA-approved prescription treatment designed to promote the growth of longer, thicker, and darker eyelashes.
