½ lb 99% lean ground turkey breast
½ teaspoon salt or to taste
¼ teaspoon black pepper or to taste
1/3 teaspoon ground sage
1/3 teaspoon ground thyme
1/8 teaspoon marjoram or oregano
1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
4 large eggs
8 large egg whites
4 tablespoons water
4 oz 50% reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

- 1. In a skillet, cook the ground turkey over medium heat, breaking it apart. Season with salt, pepper, sage, thyme, marjoram, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 more minutes, then set aside.
2. Whisk eggs, egg whites, and water together. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium and pour in the egg mixture. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges set.
3. Add the cooked turkey sausage and shredded cheese to one half of the omelet. Fold it over, cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts, and serve.
